The Buddy is a body-powered prosthetic for fingers with two missing sections or PIP joint amputations. These single jointed devices restore the length of a finger and use a neighboring finger to enable movement and bending in the device.
Devices are worn like a ring on the amputation finger and feature supports on the neighboring finger base and midsection. The Buddy is unique because it can restore a missing finger without needing to wear a glove or wrist piece.

Device fitting is completely online!
- Select the device for your amputation case.
- Take a photo of your hand by following our photo scanning instructions.
- Upload the photo to the product page and add to cart.
- Continue to check out and place your order.
- A Fingy technician will follow up with any additional questions and begin designing your device.
- You will receive the first version of your device within 30 days with instructions for free refitting and adjustments. Initial fit is gaurunteed!

This device is covered by the following policies:
31 Day Returns - You can test out a custom device for 31 days and return for a partial refund.
1 Year Manufacturer's Warranty - Covers devices failures under normal use. Does not cover lost, stolen, modified, or intentionally damaged devices. Device condition is at the discretion of FINGY3D. Warranty claims may include replacement and shipping/handling charges.
Replacements - Additional or post-warranty devices that do not require a redesign are available at a discount (reprint discount is 50% off current device price).

Black colorway devices are created inhouse providing the most consistent results and finish. While we do print colored devices through a manufacturing partner; they are assembled, and quality checked before shipping.
Colored device (besides black, white, and gray) are dyed so you can expect the following:
- Initial sizing devices will be crated in black and a color device will be sent at the final version.
- Lead times for your final colored device may be extended.
- Dyed colors can fade overtime
- Newly dyed devices and run off on your skin
- If working in the food industry, gloves should be worn with devices.

A dislocation from many years ago was becoming increasingly problematic until I decided to amputate. It was the right choice. After a while I began to investigate prosthetics as a way to improve my situation. I settled on a device that, through a ratcheting system, could be readily set from fully extended to fully flexed. It was beautifully designed, crafted and fitted. It was also heavy and awkward and damn expensive. And I never got used to it.
A year later I discovered the Fingy3D Buddy and gave it a try. I’m glad I did. The price, process and customer service that they have set up worked perfectly from start to finish and the finished product is everything they promised. 5 stars.
I purchased this product for my wife who had lost half of her finger when she was a child. We didn’t know what to expect but we were quickly impressed with the service we received. I received an email requesting pictures of her hands so the correct product could be made. I was impressed that the product was tailored specifically for what she needed. In fact, it took three tries to create the product how she wanted and felt most comfortable. All the while, communication was excellent and we were constantly asked for feedback and pictures. Everything we were looking into prior was over $1000, so the price for this product is unbeatable. Believe me that the service is great and each model is built with each individual in mind. My wife wears it all the time. Even when she’s working out!
